So I stocked up on some 2230 to go with winchester brass, CCI 400s and Horniday 55 gr FMJ's.
Then when I went to the Horniday manual it is not listed for that bullet type.
Does anyone have a good receipy so I can back it off 10% and start testing?

Thanks guys.

Check the reloading database at the top of the Reloading group. That's about the same recipe that I use.

AA-2230 is one of my favorite 223 powders for 55 gr bullets.

I use 25.5 grs AA-2230 in LC brass, Win SR or Wolf SRM, and seat to mid cannelure.

I got pressure signs at 26.0 grs, and backed off .5 gr.

So 10% less for a start load would be 23.0 grs with a 55 gr FMJBT.

ETA, Looked at Accurate Powders site.

Their data shows start at 22.5 grs, and max at 25.0 grs for a 55 gr.

Go with the published data.

I am relaying what works in my rifles. YMMV

I love it. Most of my 55 grain loads are most accurate around 24 grains. well under max load, BUT, follow prudent reloading practice and work up your load.
