I set up my tool per the directions and i think it is taking out to much brass.  It is leaving a little chamfur on the inside of the case.  i noticed it once i cleaned them and placed them in the case before i seated the primer.  what do you guys think it is a tiny chamfur. I dont think it will hurt the precision in my thoughts i think it would allow the primer to fire better but i am not a pro at relading.  the directions on the tool are minimal and i set it exactly to them.  let me know please before i procede with the other large load of brass i just picked up. i tried to take a picture but i cuold not get anything that would show up. all help would be appreciatied.

A tiny chamfer is okay.  It's more important that every case is the same.

Removing a burr is impossible without leaving a little chamfer; it might be only 0.001 inches, but it's there.

I always leave a tiny visible chamfer.  I do this step before sizing because the pilot mandrel of the deburr tool loosens the case mouth.  Every case is a little different length, so the cutter hits the flash hole at different depths.

If every case has to be identical, then size, trim and deburr every case to the same length first, deburr the flash hole, and then at least size the case neck again afterwards.

thanks.  i am using LC brass from scarch and they trim all cases beforei get them. i have seperated every case by year it was produced and i will weigh them before i put a primer in them and use them in groups of 50 by weight and date. they have been very good about the trimming i have only had to trim a  few. but they all have that small chamfur on them once i use the flash hole tool tool. At the end of processing 100 there is alot of brass on the trim mate but that is also from the primer pocket sizing tool and the prmer pocket brush.  i think it is fine but i just want to make sure i am not the only one that this happens to. a few of them it seems like it takes out a bunch of brass but others it barely takes out any. thanks for the input and any more info will always help.

I'm always amazed at the amount of brass removed by deburring.

By the way, be sure to check all the cases for shavings left behind.  Sometimes they won't come out by banging the case on the bench.  A q-tip will snag them, compressed works to blow it out, and nowadays I tumble mine in a rotary tumbler with corncob and let it catch the shavings.

this makes me feel alot better about my process. I am working on a 55gr nosler CT balistic tip that is being shot throught my JP-15 upper and mega machine lower with geiselle trigger.  i am loading a ton of differnt loads using H335.  i think i should be able to get some good accurate results by taking my time and researching alot. this site has been a great tool and as you can see i am new to this site but thanks for the input.

Back in the good old days newbies had to send everyone a new in wrapper 20 round magazine.  But I guess we'll let you slide.

You said the Brass you are using came from Scharch, so how much of it is FC ? the reason I ask is because the last lot I got from them was 99% LC out of 2500 but now I see them show FC in the mix
