Seems as if River Valley Ordnance has become iffy.  Have a bunch of NATO 556 I need fixed up.
Anyone else offering to process brass?
Thanks

Why not do it yourself and control the quality?

Time is money and sizing, trimming, cleaning, and priming 2000 cases is gonna take some time
Not looking for match grade stuff, just military specs.  River Valley Ordnance has/had an excellent reputation for quality.
I read there was a guy here that did the same service??

What primers?  How much is it worth to you?  You realize I will have to buy primers.  I'm in San Antonio TX if you care to check for postage. 2k primers weigh 1-1/2 pounds.

Are you the gentleman/operation people speak of or are you just offering?
RVO does everything on old military machines and charges $50 per 2000 cases to clean, size, and trim.
Primers are another story since a hazmat fee is invloved in getting them to you, that's $25 right there just for Hazmat.
So if you were going to do these by hand $50 would not be worth the time to process 2K cases.
Am I off the mark here or are you  familar with RVO?
Thanks

Did you catch;  Keith_J asks, "how much is it worth to you?".  I can see this as an expensive proposition.

I caught it, it's worth $50 per 2K to process them.
Not sure if my question is being misunderstood or I didn't ask it correctly.  Is there another company offering this service?
One man doing 2K cases and a machine designed to process them are not in the same universe.
I suppose I will send them off to be processed @ RVO for $50 per 2K.

Primed brass can be shipped without hazmat, you might not be able to ship them at all.

I have heard bad things about "roll sizing" cases.  This is only needed for SAW brass, regular M16/M4 brass will be brought to minimum with a Dillon die.

$25 per 1000 for decap, resize, crimp removal and trim sounds about right without shipping.

Primers are TIGHT, locally.  My supplier is out and my supply is limited to CCI 400s, about 2k is all I have on hand.

Yelf, you might want to check around before sending any business to RVO.  Unless things have changed recently, many were having problems.

RVO is a great company. Most don't know what Nikki has been through recently. She lost her husband recently to cancer. Now she had the woman doing most of the processing drop out with 3 brain tumors.

Quality is great . She is just a one woman show right now. Things are a little slow thats all.

You have to give here credit for keeping in business after all she has been through.

You'll have to add shipping to and fro on top the the $50.   Call it $20 min for th 2K or $35/K total. That eats the savings in reloading. When I reload I'm off the clock so my time is basically worthless except every hour I spend reloading 1K I save $35

She seems nice when I talk to her on the phone. /Unfortunately I have NOT been able to get her on the phone in a year and a half.

She currently has about 4000 rounds of my empties and she won't answer the phone or return my calls.

Sorry to hear she is still having trouble, but needs to answer the damn phone.

That's strange. I just talked to her Friday. She is helping me on a 20mm order. If you im me some of your info I can try and get a hold of her, and see what is going on.

Maybe things are worse than they seem when I talk to her on the phone.

I spoke to her yesterday and she said they have about a 6-8 week turn around.  They are having the same problems getting primers so that option may not be possible.
I did hear about her husband passing away.

hdbiker1 I am asking around  I've only found RVO so far.
Shipping 31lbs from a UPS commercial account to the next state over is  $12.40

My main issue is dealing with the crimped primer cup on military brass, otherwise I would be doing this myself.

Keith are you available?  Would you be able to do primers?  Please PM me with prices if you can offer this service.

Thanks guys!

Nikki's husband died about 4 years ago.  The number of complaints about the service far outweigh the reports of happy current customers; in fact, I've seen one, and it's in this thread.

She seems to respond to threats to contact the state attorney general after charging credit cards and failing to deliver product for months or even years.

It's been almost a year since I've been down there.  Maybe it's time for another visit to see if the place looks active.

If you send your brass, don't be surprised.  Or be surprised if you get the cases right back.
