My 3-1/2 year old son loves to hrlp me in the shop. Here he is belling some 45 Colt cases.

Nice job. My little guy is only 19 months, but I was wondering how young he can start. Guess I have a bit to go yet.

Starting them young is great.
Is he shooting yet?

My six year old daughter had a blast loading 9mm with me. I'd put the primed, charged case in the press and put a bullet on top, and she'd work the lever to seat the bullet and take the round out. Thought it was great fun.

My three year helps too. I have several presses and powder measures mounted along my bench top. He calls them "robots".

That's one handsome young man who has quite a headstart on being a handloader. Getting involved with his dad and the shooting sports so young will make it more difficult for the popular culture to turn him away from firearms. Good for you.

Just make sure he is washing his hands, they are very vulnerable to lead. Mine just turned three, but he is not ready yet, but there is already an AR in the safe and In will save a few components for him regardless of the political outcome.

Really cute kids. Great to see others are getting their kids involved early on. Definitely mind the lead and watch out for squished fingers.
