What powder works best in the ar-15, as in cleanest burning while maintaining the best possible velocity? Easy metering would also be nice.

I have been using H4895 for years in three ARs, a Galil, two AKs, 30-30, 30-06, 8mm, and .303. Have had no problems at all.

I have had very good results with Hodgdon Varget, for my loads it burns a little cleaner than 4895

what lenth barrel ?
what weight bullet ?
what barrel twist ?
do you want accuracy or a large number of rounds ?

Accurate 2230 or Ramshot TAC are great powders.

I've been using H335 with great results for both 55 and 62 grain loads.
