I have a AR with 2 uppers (both with 1 in 9" twist barrels) and have been wanting to reload some cartridges that can take care of pests on the ranch and maybe the occasional deer too. I recently bought a box of Barnes 53 gr. TSX, but I'm having trouble finding a whole lot of load data for this bullet. The only data I have found is from the Barnes website and uses H4895 and TAC powders. I am curious to get some more ideas and suggestions for powders and loads from members of this forum. Any suggestions? Also, I have never reloaded for my AR before and besides keeping the OAL at 2.200"(from Barnes) and crimping, is there any other special considerations I need to keep in mind? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

The Load Data is from a Barnes Data Sheet dated 12/2007. I received it in response to an email request.
