A good customer that I been helping with 22-250 loads gave me some powder. He said he didn't need it and wanted me to have it. I had mentioned that I was helping my daughters boy friend loading some .270. So before letting four pounds of powder slip away I was looking at a Hodgdon load book for other uses. I'm a generous guy but not that generous.

The only small bore I notice loads using h4831 was 220 swift.  Do you guys have any other uses for this powder in small bore guns?

PS I'm not looking for load data just cartridge info.

I saw data for 20-40 different cartridges for that powder on the hodgdon website.
I tried to do a screen copy so I could post it up here but it appears that I can't do that while a drop down menu is open.

I tried that on there but the search starts with the cartridge first.

Do it in this order:

"Rifle",
"220 Swift", ( I chose this just because you have load data for it, so I just assumed this powder is appropriate.)
Click "Get Data"
Then you will have options under "Powder", select the one you want.
After you do this you go back to "Cartridge" and select the one you want. Any cal. list is one they have data for.

Enjoy and load safe!
