| I'm new at this so I'm trying to attack this reloading 1 step at a time. I'm confussed as to what the OAL of a comp;eted round should be. Is there a difference in OAL between rounds for a bolt action and an AR-15. |

Max OAL, over all length, for AR's to feed from mag is 2.26. Bolt action would depend on action length. When you get a reloading manual, the OAL is given for every round. Some manuals will give OAL with each bullet, but will not exceed cartridge OAL. Spend some time reading the tacked threads at the top of the page. It's a good read.  Welcome to the Reloading Forum. |
