Max is 1.27.
I like to seat at 1.26.
TiteGroup shoots good, I like cast 200 gr SWC's.

I seat at 1.260 for Montana Gold 230gr CMJ. I have loaded shorter for SWC.

I use a factory round to adjust my seater die. Insert factory round, screw down seater die till it stops seating, then BAM! Seating depth set.

Don't load too short or you can end up like me with feeding problems in your 1911.
1.235" is too short for my gun.

1.250 is the standard 230gr ball length.

I seat 230gn Precision Delta FMJ's to 1.250". Will shoot in any one of several 1911's we have as well as my P-14 Para that is very finicky on OAL's.
I use 4.7gn of Titegroup with this load for a near factory duplicate round.

I was using 4.3gn with a Precision Delta 200gn SWC. Ran fine with standard recoil spring.
