I'm looking into reloading because I shoot so much. Running the numbers there is one thing I can't find. How many rounds will 1 pound of powder load on average?

7000 grains per pound.
Depends on your load.

There are 7000 grains per pound, so it depends on what you're shooting.

A light .38 special load might use 3.5 grains of powder, so 7000/3.5 = 2000 loads per pound.

A typical .223 Rem round might have up to 28 grains of powder, so 7000/28 = 250 loads per pound.

A heavy 7mm Rem Mag might use 70 grains of powder, so 7000/70 = 100 loads per pound.

Are you starting to see a pattern here?
