Does anyone have a brand of case lube that they like over another?  I used the RCBS this weekend and it was almost like it was sticking worse instead of moving smoother.

Imperial Sizing Die wax is the best.  Get the lube on your fingers, pick up a case wiping lube on as you place it into the shell holder on the press, size, and then tumble later to delube.

I've used some Dillon spray recently on .30 carbine cases and I liked the way it worked, but use it sparingly or you'll have sticky lube inside the case and the primer pocket; I finally resorted to washing the first batch of brass in Dawn and hot water to get the lube off.  I had a mess.

A few people mix the RCBS lube with alcohol to make a spray lube.  Same with the LEE lube.

Dillon case lube works great for my .223/5.56 brass.  You only need a few squirts and unlike One Shot, I've never had a stuck case using it.

+1 Dillon Spray Lube

I use Dillon case lube but I still use the RCBS case lube pad to roll each case in the lube. A couple of sprays lubes a lot of .223 sized cases. I also use a RCBS neck brush and spray a little lube onto the brush and use the brush to lube the inside of the case neck. Lube is put where you want it and 100% coverage.

I haven't tried the Dillon stuff but I know I hated the Hornady spray.  I just use the Lee lube.  I will have to try out the Dillon since everyone seems to have responded with that.

Dillon lube for bottlenecks.

It is sticky so you do have to tumble the finished rounds but not a huge deal.

I think someone mentioned that they use a rag with lighter fluid to clean the goo off.

Sir, not everyone!  Plus one for Imperial.  JMHO, 7zero1.

For under a 100 at a time Imperial sizing wax. Anything over a 100 at a time, spray on homemade lube ( lanolin and alcohol, just like dillons).

I use Imperial and its great. I did try a group of brass with TW-25B (aerosol) and it worked well also, and alot easier to apply!

What is the ratio of lanolin to alcohol that you use?

10:1 isoproypal to lube.

Make sure you have 90%+ isoproypal or the water content of the alcohol can tarnish the brass.

I tumble the lube off with corncob... cheap and quick.

I have had zero stuck cases with Hornady oneshot. (but I use 2 quick sprays)

I through 100-150 cases into a cardboard box, all laying flat, then spray once. Shake around and spray a 2nd time while shaking the brass.

Wait 10min and then start resizing.

ZERO issues in my Lee full length sizing die. (for .223, 30-30, and 30-06)

I picked up 3 cans of the stuff on sale a while back. Only on the 2nd can after 2 years and 3500 cases.

Dillon is the only Lube I use. I just sized 3,000 223 cases and not one problem with sticking cases, and I only used about 1/4 of the bottle.

As long as a case is lubed it will not stick.  You could use crisco, motor oil or even butter, any lube will work.

People say 'this is uber'!!!!  no.. its just a lube.

Same here, but doesn't have the lubricity of the other four or five lubes I've used and, as you mentioned, more is needed.

i use Hornady oneshot and I've never had a problem.  I dump my brass in a zip lock back and spray them.  Then I shake the bag and let them sit for a min or two before resizing.

I've heard that wire pulling gel from home depot/lowes works well, too.  I think I'm going to give it a try when I run out of one shot.

I mostly use Dillon lube . I trim and size first and then clean the case before I reload it . I deprime and swage during the loading process on a 1050 .

Imperial sizing wax for all cases except the 50 cal BMG, then use Mobil1 fully synthetic.

So, no lubricant is superior to any other? Interesting.

O.K. I just have to reply to this lube stuff! Ive used almost everything, except the butter, Huberds boot grease works good. I add a little bees wax. parafin wax works too. All waxy type, (soap) works. Ive used shampoo, works but messy, K-Y works great,a little pricey.  To me the lube is not the question. Ive used a single stage for 40 years! I hate it. Too damn slow. Cant see using a progressive and getting ANY lube on my machine. OK, so the problem is getting the stuff off!! ALL of it, from inside the case. Now they say that some stuff is inert. Well, great, its still inside isn't it. Sooo. Ive been usingRiteAide brand Lube (K-Y), much cheaper, you don't need a spermaside, at least I don't. And when your done just hot soapy water. And yes, you have to clean your dies out when done. All of the waxes and oils have to be removed with a solvent of some kind. and then that has to be removed. Very pricey, and step after step! I can see why there is a market for already prep brass!  On my bolt guns ive gone to Lee collet dies and done away with the problem.

Hornady One Shot has always worked for me 223-308-30/06.  Dillon was slick but harder to get off the one time I tried it.
