Being kinda new with the GSG522 I was reading where some of the 1st SD version were recalled due to the ATF.
What was it about the 1st ones that made them a no no?

Whats the defference between the pld and new fake suppressors?

The old faux suppressors were hollow.  ATF decided after initial approval that the hollwness constituted an expansion chamber thus classifying the faux as an NFA suppressor.  The re-done, re-signed off version of the shroud has a sleeve on the inside that hugs the BBL, so it is no longer hollow.  This new version of the faux was in place before the release of the 522, so all 522 have the correct shroud.

They didn't say so we didn't ask.  All of them are sleeved since.
