I have a GSG 5SD that I want to buy a short barrel for and have a suppressor permanently mounted. Since Gem Tech no longer offers that set up I'm trying to duplicate it myself.
If anyone can offer some advise on how to legally do this and suppressor suggestions ETC.... it would greatly be appreciated

You probably don't want the suppressor permanetly mounted. You'll want to remove it to clean the gun, otherwise you're just pushing all the gunk from the barrel into the suppressor cavity ... not good.

You'll need permission from the ATF and your CLEO to make a short barrelled rifle. That requires a $200.00 tax stamp. Your suppressor will also require a $200.00 tax stamp.

Do a web search on making a suppressed SBR, you'll find all the info you need.

Your GSG-5 when suppressed and using sub-sonic ammo makes hardly any noise at all; it's kinda eerie. About all you hear is the mechanical noise of the gun cycling.

In WA we can't have SBR's at this time thats why I was looking at attaching it to the barrel.

Ah, I see.

Odd, I thought Washington was more 2nd. Ammendment friendly than that.

Your best bet for straight up-front information is probably to call Gemtech:
