| Just got a GSG-5 PK and have plans of building a PDW clone from it. Question is where are you guys doing the engraving on the reciever? Thanks. |

that looks like the right place.does your silencer shoot straight?mine is 5.0 in. to the left. It is not unusual for suppressors to change the point of aim. You say yours shoots "5.0 in. to the left" but you didn't say at what distance. Nor did you mention what model of suppressor that you're using. The suppressor in my photo is actually a Gemtech Raptor for 9mm. Bought for my MP5 clone but used occasionally on my .22 cal GSG5-PK. Because of the larger bore of this suppressor, it does not seem to affect the accuracy of the small .22 bullet at all but does do a decent job of 'silencing' it. |

you are correct. my 7.62 can works great on the gsg and my .22 can works good on the ruger 10-22 with a 16.0 barrel.something about the short barrel.i want sbr the ruger but lenth of barrel so the .22 can will work? Are you asking a question? I can't quite decipher what you're asking from your post. |

the short .22 barrel with a .22can doe not work for me or may be the can?I cant figure it out. thanks. First off, at what distance are you getting the 5" shift from POA? Does this shift stay the same will all brands of ammo? I typically see a couple inches of shift at 25 yards with my 9mm. If you're getting a really bad shift it may be caused by a slight baffle strike. There are only two reasons why that may be happening. One is bullet instability, which is unlikely with a .22 LR shot from a normal pistol length barrel. The other is suppressor alignment. Could be the threads on the barrel not in line with the bore or the threads on the suppressor being out of whack. What model .22 suppressor do you have? |

Did mine on the rear uppre right side as well. Can't really see the engraving because the stock is folded, but it is there. Actually you can see the bottom of the silver lettering just under the top of the folded stock as I did not blacken after engraving. MadDog

Ummm. What is the engraving suppose to say? Is thay suppose to be on my.form 1 somewhere? The engraving must consist of the manufacturer's name, city and state (two letter state abbreviation is o.k.). If you're military use the state in which you built the SBR, not your state of residence. The engraving must be a minimum of .003" in depth and a minimum font size of 1/16". The location of the engraving must be visible. Here's a site with some pictures of common locations for engravings: http://www.orion-arms.com/gun-engraving/short-barrel-rifle-engraving-locations.html Cheers. |
