Wow, only 2 years since the last word we had on them

My Form 3 is being processed.

According to Gemtech only 89 ended up being made and no more will be made.

It is actually a GSD-5

Yeah, I called them about it a few weeks ago.  They told me the list of purchased GSD-5's versus the list of manufactured GSD-5 was grossly disproportionate (I was at the end of a very long line for a very small quantity).  Due to the ATI/HK ruling, and other hilarious HK lawsuits Gemtech probably won't pursue making more.  Most likely due to the ATI lawsuit deadline passing (aka no more old style complete GSG-5's are allowed for importation and must be the new model).  Granted you can always use a parts kit to upgrade, but that's up to the end user as technically.... it's breaking HK's patent, copy write, blah blah etc.   So, if you got one, lucky you.  There are less than 100 in the world made by Gemtech, collectors items for sure.

Hey just a heads up, apparently these are hitting the shelves because I've now seen 3 for sale at different websites. There is one going for 1150 on sturm. Someone needs to get us some pics and a range report though!

I got mine today!!!  I loooooooooooooooove it!!  No chance to shoot it yet but I will post video soon.

I can tell you as a dealer that $1150 is a resonable price for this rare gun.  They are not making that much on it.

Great looking weapon! Is the suppressor able to be taken apart for cleaning? We all know how dirty .22LR's can be.

No, it is a sealed intragal can.  But it has to be one of the largest volume .22LR cans I have ever seen.  It would take 10k's of rounds before you would need to send it to Gemtech for cleaning in my opinion.

It's sealed?!?!?! I thought it was a user serviceable monocore can.  That's disappointing news, I won't be needing one.

interesting, I have a CA SD (9mm) and the barrel is about 5" long and the suppressor is threaded to the breech, not muzzle like yours, so you must be getting somre pretty good accuracy with the extra bbl length. Also, can't easily re-use the 9mm suppressor on other weapons, looks like yours will. The barrel is ported to make all 9mm ammo subsonic regardless of weight, probably don't need or want that in .22.

I'd get one of the Gemtech's but $400 is enough tax for this experience
