Looking at the barrel at the breech block, there is a cut or groove in the barrel where the extractor meets the barrel. Its just a nick. As my barrel nut was loose I could turn the barrel back and forth the length of the cut. The grove has left a bur and I can only turn the barrel with in the groove in the breech block where the extractor goes. Should the barrel be able to turn all the way around? IF so, do I need to remove the bur on the barrel? The only reason that you would need to turn the barrel all the way around would be to either remove (unscrew) it or tighten it all the way down (if it isn't already). Once you're certain that the barrel is fully tightened down, unscrew the black barrel retaining screw ("barrel nut" ???) completely, apply blue Loctite, and re-tighten. |
