Looking for a source for 10 rd. mags. Best I can find was $35 each.
I have no interest in promag units. Thinking of getting a few 22 rd mags
when I go to NC and blocking them to 10,as it might be the cheapest way
to get them.
Any input to help a guy out in NY?

Edit: Please no "move" statements!!

Try talking to Chris at ATI, they most likely would have them and they will be factory.

I'd like to know too.  The best I could find was the short 10 rounders from Midway for $32

I might have an out of state friend pick up some 22s from DDs and just send them to me

A local shop, I questioned the legality of it even though I know they really aren't and they insisted that it was ok for 22s.

Lucky you. I would still be leary though.

I looked it up on the NRA/ILA web site and the dealer is half right about .22's but all wrong about .22 mags. This is what the state law is:

“Large capacity ammunition feeding device” means
a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device,
manufactured after September 13, 1994, that has a
capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted
to accept, more than ten rounds of ammunition. There
is an exception for an attached tubular device designed
to accept, and capable of operating only with, .22 caliber
rimfire ammunition.

So, a 22rd mag will get you in trouble.
