Hello,
I would like to know when the GSG-5 SD will be available in all black? I just don't like the two tone... -O |
| The two tone GSG 5 SD was a special production for the shot show. From previous threads, I believe the all black SD will be available sometime in the fall (at the earliest). I purchased the two tone color GSG 5 SD and its not as bad as I thought it would be. It takes a little getting used to. I am considering taking the rifle apart and painting the silver parts flat black. I havent decided if thats a good idea yet. Hope this helps. |

I never REALLY considered a GSG until the SD model was announced. I think Im going to hold out for the all black version. I considered buying the stainless one and painting it, but I figure that waiting on the black one will also give me some time to decide if its really worth it to spend 500+ bucks on a 22 plinker. Haha

I too want the SD so bad. I have seriously considered buying the Anniversary edition and paint it, but I think the best decision is for me to save and hold out for the black. I thought the same thing but I figured it would be tough to get my hands on one once it finally came out. They say sometime in the fall, but I think its going to be tough to get one with the demand. It seems like everyone wants to get their hands on one. If I do paint mine, I'll post a pic. |

Can standard GSG5 Gen2 be retrofitted to become GSG5 SD?
What's the difference. Is it just a handguard shround or does it change the entire front sight assembly? If it's just a shroud then it should easy swap. If it involves front sight (triple frame joint) then that'd be a major mod. |

I purchased a titanium SD, striped the paint and duracoated it flat black. You can no longer see the laser engraving but that's ok w/ me. :D sorry, crappy pic.

| Complete SD guns will hopefully be here by mid to end of august. So many people constantly are calling us on these we got GSG to move them up a little. No exact time frame on the conversion for the regular carbines. It is just a different hand guard and fake suppressor on the SD so the change out will be easy. Word on the GSG street right now is January for the conversion unit and I have no idea on price yet. We cannot sell you the SD cans and hand guards through parts and service because this will be an accessory eventually, we will only be able to replace damaged ones through P&S under warranty or if you send the damaged parts back to us first for registered SD users only. If you do not have a registered SD we will not be able to sell you the pieces through parts and service. |

You are making me consider impulse buying a LE and painting it! |

sorry to rub your noses in it - but im luvving my SD in black!! Have they released the black already in your part of the world? Not yet. I have the two tone one and honestly, its not that bad. I think it looks good and I considered the duracoat option but I'm liking the two tone for now. |
