[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Using iron sights with low mount?

I'm starting to put together an order and i need to know if a low profile mount like this one here will still allow me to use the normal "iron sights" if there is no optics mounted on the rail. can some one please confirm. thanks.

Yes, you can still use them w/out an optic mounted.

yes, i have one very similar. you should have no problem using the iron sights with that installed.

That mount will not work with some sights. Be careful of sight selection due to non-continuous rail. See this for comparison.

Either type is fine as long as your sight works with it. You can use your iron sites with either one as long as no optic is installed.
