I just picked up a "slightly used" GSG carbine. Supposedly it only had around 600 rounds through it. Anyhow it was equipped with a gsg retractable stock and gsg handguard. Hand guard is good but the stock already broke on me while retracting it. The disk inside that turns has these plastic ears that lock the stock into place. Well those ears rounded off and it caused the stock to no longer lock, making it worthless. I managed to modify it by mounting screws in the disk then grinding it to fit. So far it works again but this is totally unnecessary and i shouldnt have to deal with this upon receiving the rifle.
The rifle is dirty and apparently hasnt been cleaned but thats the problem im having. The guy did not send any original parts including the special tool, original stock, handguard, or manual. On top of that it is a gen 1 rifle but only has 600 rounds? Anyways my fault for buying a rifle from a stranger although he seems highly regarded in the forum in which I bought it from (not this one). Problem is the bolt will not close and is stuck open. I can charge it but pulling the trigger does not dry fire it. How do I fix this so I can clean it. I definitely cant shoot it if the bolt wont close. So far im pissed I spent so much money junk. I should have waited to buy a new one. Dave |

Heres a pic of what im talking about. Ugly I know, but it will probably last longer than the crappy plastic ears. I surprised this hasnt happened to anyone else considering the really bad design.
