Hello,
Brand new to the group but have been reading for some time.  I picked up my new GSG on Saturday and ran some rounds through it.  What a blast!  I have a few questions.  I'm looking for someone that can tell me what the main differences are between the Aimpoint and Eotech red dot scopes.  I want to use it both for my GSG and my recently purchased M4.  The second question I have is who has the best 3 rail system that can be placed on the front of the GSG and where can you get them?  I don't want to have to do major revisions.  Rail will be used for a grip, flashlight and possible green laser.  Any suggestions where to purchase the mentioned items??  Look forward to be an active participant on the site.  New to weapons.  My kids think I'm having a serious midlife crisis and my son keeps asking when the bunker is being built!  I'm just finally having some fun after paying for college.  Thanks and look forward to some responses.

I did the RIS/RAS that ripnrob did in the accessories section.  If your descent with a dremel its totally do-able.  I just thought it was the coolest looking one, Plus it says HK MP5 on it.....solid as a rock too!

Oh, and sorry to beatcha to it, but it holds my flaslight, green laser, and foregrip very nicely

Happy accessorizing!!!

aimpoint - single red dot (2MOA or 4MOA), incredibly long battery life.  New T-1 models are tiny.
eotech - a little heavier, reticle is typically a 65MOA circle with a 1 MOA center dot.  Different models have different batteries (AA, N, CR123, etc.) but generally has shorter battery life than the aimpoints.

Both are good non-magnified optics and will serve you well.  They are both a bit of overkill on the GSG-5, though.

Wichever one you like the best they are both good setups but if you are planning on swapping back and forth that would not be good. For under $50 you can get a descent copy of either and put on the GSG and get the real thing for your AR.

Hey there,

Which flashlight and green laser did you purchase???  How long did it take you to grind down that collar with the dremel??
Where did you get the rail system from and cost?  People are all over the place on prices on these things.  With doing all of the
grinding and trimming is there a particular black spray paint you use to match??  Really appreciate the help.  Just going to a gun
show today.  There is an outfit there with magazines for the GSG 5.  Going to pick up a couple more.  This gun is just a blast
to shoot.  For a guy who never has shot much of anything it sure has been great fun!!  Thanks!
