Has anyone used one of Gemtech's drop-in threaded SBR barrels on their GSG-5?

Does it need an adapter nut?

I'm starting to have second thoughts on another "old style" adapter? My factory barrel is set-up for the old style adapter, but my front sight base is partly cross threaded and my can angles up slightly. I'll have to buy another cocking tube ($40+S&H) and another adapter ($45+S&H), I may just want to buy a new barrel ($150+S&H) and not have to worry about alignment issues???

Thanks!!!

Thanks!!!

Do they just slide into the sight base, or do they screw in?

I take it, that they don't need any adapter?
