Ummm - Umerex is a well known airgun company - I believe this is their second venture into the world of firearms, the well known Walther p-22 being the first. Correct me if I'm wrong though...

Add says dealer cost will start over $500! I would rather buy .22 conversion for M4 I don't shot much anymore.

Then there is the Kel-Tec PLR22 too.

Maybe it is just me, but Kel-Tecs REALLY feel like a crappy toy.

It's not you.  I handled one of these, and the .223 version this weekend at a show, and it was a plastic piece of crap.  Tapping on the plastic, it sounded like a toy you would get from K-Mart.

So did the stock on my GSG as well as the front grip, but I still love it!  I thought the Kel-tec was decent and the saving would be enough for about 5000 rounds from what I have seen.

Yeah maybe, but it's no GSG.

So it can shoot .22LR or plastic bb's...

Alright, so I didn't know what Umerex was, ya got me.

I'm gonna have to pass on the ar15 .22 clone, wether it be Colt or S&W.
If you already own an AR, there are so many different calliber routes you can go through to save money on ammo, and I already have a a conversion kit.
That being said...
I would be more excited about the news if they didn't crap tac the rifle with "Cheap" airsoft accessories...
Don't get me wrong, there is some useful airsoft things, however there isn't much excuse for this.

Here is an Ebay airsoft gun. The picture is the definition of "Craptastic"

That Tapeswitch looks like sh*t, especially with the band wrapped around it.
That picture doesn't even look like a "real" rifle.

A side note about Keltecs:
Growing up I stayed away from the Bb guns that had obvious exposed screws in the side of them, because it often meant they were cheaply produced plastic paperweights.
So now when ever I see those unsightly exposed screwholes in the side of the keltecs, I just think of those crappy plasticy bb guns from childhood.
Put people say that they run pretty well.

If the new .22 Colt's price is about the same as a .22 upper then I might have to think about it. But I'm thinking my next purchase is a SIG 522.

It looks like if you want another .22 rifle you should go with the SIG. If only for the novelty, AR rifles are everywhere these days.

An AR ciener kit is cheap. Hell, you can even get a dedicated .22 upper for like 300.

Just know before you buy it that the safety must rotate 180 deg from safe to fire unlike a semi ar15.  I'm sure some people won't mind, but it is a huge detractor for me.
