Got this mount from Tinitiy Arms and put it on this weekend Tinity Arms mount and ran into some problems that prospective buyers need to know.

The first screw head socket stripped out immediately upon starting to snug it up. I was very, very careful with the remaining three.

There was a fair amount of side to side movement noticed as the screws were being snugged (not tight) up. Not a huge issue if you can get the mount to lock up tight, you could possibly position it then tighten it up.....IF......

The front of the mount had a fair amount of vertical play after snugging. Decided to take it off and figure out how to shim it up. That's when I noticed the front of the rail was curved down towards the barrel. No problem, I thought, I'll just bend it straight.

I took a flat jawed plier and barely applied pressure when the rail snapped like an icicle in January!!! The mount, besides having dimensional issues and soft screws, appears to be made of a brittle, sintered metal not aluminum.

Another issue to be aware of is the mount's design. If you want to install a red dot that uses the long clamps/rails, then you'll need to look at a different design that has an uninterupted rail the full length.

I will not be buying the same design. I'll be in touch with Trinity Arms but I wanted to give a heads up to everyone. I've noticed this same mount is sold by other companies and on Ebay. So....don't spend $25.99 with shipping on this product.

I had the all the same issues with the classic arms version, it looks exactly like your pics. I'm going back to the nstar mount, it locks up solid.

This is the one I got, very solid and fits right. Check out the design and see if you can find it cheaper as it is sold under many names at various prices.

These type of mounts are junk as they are:
1. made of pot metal and break easily.
2. are not made correctly to fit the GSG.  if you look at the picture for the G&G one, link above, you will see there are 2 big holes in the top of the rail.  the holes are necessary because the GSG has raised slots that fit into the rear hole of the mount.  That cheapo mount doesn't have that hole at the rear of the mount.
