i too was wondering if this was a problem isolated to the first batch. did they fix this issue or is it still a good idea to do it? i pick my gsg-5 up 9 days (10 day CA purgatory)

I have a second gen and the first 3 times I went shooting when I got home to clean it the screws were loose so I say to be safe do it.

I did all of em, just in case. I put 150 rounds through my new GSG5 and when I took it apart to clean, I found that the set screw holding my barrel in place was loose.

For me, the one that keeps getting loose is the one that is holding the bolt stopper.
