I SBRed my GSG-5 for use with an Outback II. With the supressor off, the point of aim is the point of impact. With the supressor on POI shifts up and left, about three in. in 10 Yds. I'm not getting baffle strikes, and it doesn't appear to be rubbing, although alignment may be an issue. The SBR work was done by a gunsmith and I'm using a Gemtech gen 1 adapter. I will have another gunsmith look it over. Any body else having similar issues? EDIT UPDATE: GemTech is sending a new gen 2 adapter, and I will have the barrel threaded to accept it. I think that should fix it. GemTech has great customer service. EDIT UPDATE: Received 2nd gen adapter from GemTech and had barrel reworked to the new specs. It is perfect. |
| Yes I am. SWR has my rifle at the moment, and will be sending it to gemtech in the next few days. No suppressor POA = POI, suppressor on the POI shift was 3 to 6 inches high, a visual inspection of the can showed I was not getting any baffle strikes but did have a end cap strike. SWR replaced the mount on the warlock qd, but did not think that this was the problem fix so the barrel, adapter & mount are going to gemtech to check for any alignment issues. So far all that can be deducted is perhaps the gen 1 adapter does not support the barrel allowing it (the barrel) to move around some. The ID of the adapter is larger than the OD of the barrel. I will update when I hear back from Gemtech. |
