Ok, so now I'm "that guy", and I need some help. hinking.gif I've been shooting mostly Winchester "XPERT" bulk packs (exposed lead bullets) through my GSG-5 (over 5000 rounds), because I have a few hundred thousand of them, with no problem. Well, no problem until today. I ALWAYS clean my guns after a range trip, no exceptions. I have been carefully cleaning and inspecting the gun after I shoot it and I have never noticed any leading until today, after I shot one 500 round bulk pack. The leading is not as excessive as some of the pictures I have seen, but it is still pretty bad, as I can't even pull a .22 Boresnake through it. My question is what is the best way to remove the lead buildup without doing any damage to the barrel? I have never dealt with leading this extensive before and I figured I'd ask around before I go to the fun store tomorrow to get the proper equipment. Thanks, Popov |
