In the world of airsoft, brands actually matter like they do with real steel firearms...

Would you buy a no brand name, super cheap $30 lower receiver off of gunbroker???

Big brands like Marui, Classic Army, Hurricane, Guarder, ICS, etc use decent metal and production methods.

This looks awful inexpensive at $9.

How about leapers (UTG). i see people useing the mount in the other thread, and it seems like its works fine. Also, i ordered it from airsplat, as im cancelling my order with botach due to hearing horror stories.

YEP, thats the exact one, i got mine off ebay for 19.99 shipped, but its the UTG low profile, from the info i have read they use good strong metel, not the shitty stuff...hopefully it fits, and i also think it looks nicer then the other styles.

45B10,
I got your email.  Thanks for the info.
Now if you would be so kind as to let us know what brand of stock that is and if it interfers with the ejection port, that will help us too.

[#11]
The stock came off a HFC MP210 Pump Action Model # HA210. Its about 1/2 metal. The stock arms are metal, but the receiver cap is plastic as well as the stock pad. Youll have to use the screw that came with the toy to mount it to the GSG, but its sturdy once its on. The only positions are open and closed and the arm covers part of the ejection port like the rest do.Im gonna ream it out a tad so I can atleast use the screw that came with the GSG.
For all those that have wondered a real MP5 stock WILL NOT work and cant be made to work the best I can tell. Im a armorer for the Army and have my gunsmith license that was issued with my dremel tool but I wont chop a 300+ dollar stock to make it work. Hope this helps some.

Thanks,
My BIG thread has been updated to reflect H&K stocks will not work.

Can you still use the irons with the optic removed? It looks like it sits low enough to clear.

Thanks

I just received it from Opticsplanet.com. At $9 and with other items that included free shipping, it was worth it just to see it.

It feels solid and good.  The brand is NCStar.  I'd recommend it.

the MFI mounts definately DONT fit i tried its to long and would interfere with the cocking lever.

Leapers/NCStar rail, with G&P FakePoint should work really well on there.  Buddy of mine really likes his set up that way.

G&G Low Profile Mount is what I went with.  Made of aluminum and fits perfect.  You can still use the peep sight with it mounted on rifle.

ebay also has the ones made by spider-fire that are about $15 shipped.  they look/feel exactly the same without the tmarkings.  I have one that i ordered from ebay but didn't want to take the chance on it was pot metal.  honestly i can't tell the difference.  they both feel the same.  now i haven't mounted the spider-fire one so i couldn't tell you if it would break or not.  the only bad thing was it took about 2 weeks to get here from ebay.

I just bought a G&P Aimpoint clone and a Sightmark reflex reddot.   I could make up my mind which one I wanted so I bought both.  .

Pot metal is junk.  You get what you pay for IMO.

That is the first CompM4 Aimpoint clone I have seen on that SpiderFire site.  Guess anyone buying an M4 needs to be careful now.
