So I got one recently. With the D2 steel. Love the knife, hate the grip.

There's plenty of aftermarket scales and hardware. But they're all so pricy. I don't mind trying some eventually but I just bought the knife. Don't want to pay the same cost for a grip.

Is there a know go to that's affordable that arf guys use? Is there an aftermarket one to avoid?

Should I just get drunk and stipple the stock handle because I can't leave well enough alone? Will doing that void any warranty from Benchmade?

For some of the prices people are asking I'd rather buy $10 of g10 and make some myself.

Just about any after market scales are going to cost almost was much as the knife.

You can look on eBay. Maker igored57 from russia makes some good scales to give you some idea what's out there.

If you stipple your scales I'm pretty sure Benchmade won't care as you didn't disassemble the knife.
