Picked up this Sword Cane at a flea market.

No markings on it anywhere. Brass Hilt and wood cane. Seems to be very well made.

Any idea of who made, age  it or value on an item like this?

Thanks,
Matt

I always wanted a sword cane as an extra weapon to have when my back decides to go out. Nobody makes one lond enough to provide meaningful support. A good cane should be tall enough so that the handle is a bit higher than your belt. None even come close to that, and I'm only six feet tall. Well within the range of normal equipment.

That one looks cool. How long is it?

Total Length 36"
Sword with-out wood cane 31 1/2"
Blade 23 1/4 "

Brass Gryphon / Bird Head is pretty heavy. Wouldn't want to get hit with it.

Tried a few of the Sword Forums on the net, but no info as yet about it.

I was pretty stoked to get it.

Nice find, I am sure you know but don't go trying to polish and shine that up.  Leave it "As Is" or you could lose a lot of value if it was a collectible.

My grandfather had one exactly like it. It was a cool cane pretty well made from what I remember. Don't know where he got it probably a garage sale or something.

I think that was forged in Winterfell.
