Just thought I'd let you all know about a pretty good deal.
$5 at the local Wally world. It's nothing spectacular but that being said I think it beats the heck out of a cheap Gerber. I, like most of you, prefer to use a good quality knife, which is why I own ESEE fixed blades and Kershaw folders. But everyone needs a beater knife and IMO the Sheffield gets the job done and is cheap enough to stash a few wherever you might need one. I have one in my duty bag at work and recently started carrying one in my pocket on duty instead of my Kershaw folder. It has a glass breaker and a cord/seatbelt cutter. It sliced through the shirt of someone in full arrest to get an AED hooked up no problem. Long story short, if you're in need of a beater folder that has a glass breaker and seat belt cutter, I think it's better to get this for $5 instead of another cheap brand for more money. Will post a picture of said knife a little later. Not sure what the model is called but it's a tanto blade (not my preference) but they had other options as well. Edit to add: http://i1145.photobucket.com/albums/o508/Zach_Burch/image_zps81ab0ca8.jpg Can't find model number and threw out packaging. I'm going back to buy more this week at some point. Will keep you posted. I'll make it hot eventually when I get to a computer. Phone is stupid. |
