Looking for an assisted folder. Its going to be an edc, so it doesn't have to be huge

Bulky? Thin? Lightweight? Size?

Im not really picky. Around 3in, thinner is always better for an edc.  Im not really worried about weight, with all the other stuff I carry.  Im more looking for a knife that I can beat on a little, and hold an edge better than the junk knife that I have now

Unless you're just dead set on an assisted knife, get a Griptilian.

I used to love assisted knives until I bought my first Axis knife. Just as fast as an assisted opener and much easier to close with one hand. Now I've got over a dozen Axis knives and one assisted knife I never carry.

I just picked up a Spyderco Paramilitary 2. Paid a little more than $100 cause I wanted it NOW, but I see people saying they get them for $110 from online retailers.

Thin, light, cool blade style.

Griptillian is cool too, so is the Blur, lots of cool options.

And for a little less, the Kershaw Shallot is a great EDC for me. Thin and simple but big enough.

I have a Kershaw Blur that I bought to replace a Benchmade Emissary that I lost.

I wanted a less expensive knife and the blur fit that requirement.

I have really come to like it a lot.

It fits my hand, holds an edge and opens with "authority".

I have since purchased a Benchmade Pardue just because I wanted an auto.

I like the blur better. And you could get two for a little over $100.

Edited to add a couple crappy pics.

This

I have or have owned most of the kershaw assisted knives, Benchmade assisted knives, Protech side opening autos, and Benchmade side opening autos. They are no faster than a thumbhole like spyderco or a BM 550, or an axis lock with broken in pivot. The only thing that is really faster than everything else is an emerson wave.

If you're all about an assisted opener, get a Kershaw Blackout or blur so that you don't waste too much money before you realize that there is no point to them
