I'm a long time fan of the Benchmade Rukus 610, but I finally lost mine after years of carry. I'd like to know what the other options are. What does the hive suggest for a 4" or bigger folder? Also, I'm looking for something that wouldn't make women run away from me screaming. So no Cold Steel Espada, for example. No tanto's either. My top choice right now is the Cold Steel Recon 1 in Spearpoint. If money were no object it would be the Emerson Commander UBR or the Emerson Super Cqc-8. Any other models I should be looking at? |
A KaBar Dozier Bobcat might work for you but they have been discontinued... If you search the web (link), you should be able to find a few still in inventory at some of the less known suppliers... If you'd really like but can't find one, I probably have one that I an not emotionally attached to... 
The knife has a 4" AUS8 blade, is 5" closed and 9.5" open. It has an ambidextrous thumb stud and is a lock-back design. It also has a black pocket clip for left or right sided tip up carry (carries very deep in the pocket)... Prices typically range from $45 to $70 depending on luck... ETA: Just got another idea... You might like a Spyderco Resilience... $43 delivered at Amazon It's pretty much a right handed knife (liner lock is designed for right handed operation) though so if you are a lefty, you might consider another choice...
