My favorite EDC knife for several years was this Microtech Mini SOCOM Elite auto. It's thin, light with lightening fadt action and holds an edge better than anything I've seen.

The only problem is the pocket clip design. It's held on by a single torx screw. Over the years the clip would get bumped or caught on something so it gradually loosened to the point where it ruined the threads and the clip fell off.

I would like to repair the knife so I can carry it again. The easy fix would be to have the hole tapped for a larger screw. That would only be a band aid as I'm sure it will happen again. I really need a way to reinforce the attachment of the clip to the body

Any ideas?

I would just drill and tap three small holes just above the current one (so that the new clip covers the old hole) and replace with an Emerson pocket clip: http://www.emersonknives.com/ekGear_Clips.php or something similar.
