I got the Work Sharp belt sharpener for Christmas and so far I am pretty happy with it.  Once you get the motion down, it will put a scary sharp convex edge on your knives. I haven't got brave enought to use it on any of my expensive knives but I have sharpened all my kitchen knives and my EDC CRKT with it.

I use it on my CRKT m2104g and it works well. The only problem I have is user error. I keep rounding my points instead of making a fine sharp point. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong ?

Not sure, are you letting the tip wander since it is off the guide by the time you are getting to the end of the blade?  I have had issues keeping the blade parallel with the guide as I get near the tip of the blade.  Also, hesitating too long at the end of the motion may be doing it too.

I had issues with the belts hitting the thub stud, but it becomes a self solving problem.

I have seen these mentioned before and always wanted one. Met them at shot 2 years ago and they where really nice. spent about 20 minutes sharpening my friends large pocket knife and it was scarey sharp.

another +  for the worksharp. My advice is to order some intermediate grit belts to save on your 6k ones and going from 220 to 600to 1500 and finally 6000 makes for a smooth sharp blade.
