Anyone carry a case copperlock often ?
I have been looking for something to keep in my pocket when out to dinner and visiting family.
it wouldnt be a hard use knife at all..just a good looker to keep with me when all i expect is a few letters to be opened and what not.
I was also looking at the trapperlock.

was wondering how these hold up to daily carry ? I have heard some reports that the case shield fall out if carried to much ?
an rust issues with these if kept clean clean ?

photo's of well carried newer case knives would be great..

just looking for something more traditional then the knives i have now..also looked into GEC But the only model i liked was the #72 and they are pretty hard to find in a config I like

I don't own any of the patterns you mentioned, but a Copper lock will probably be my next Case.  I only own two different Case patterns - a medium stockman and a swayback jack.  I've been carrying the swayback everyday for about 8 months.  I was very impressed with the fit and finish on both - probably the best of any traditionals I own.  Personally, I prefer the patterns and steel choices offered by Queen/S&M, but I definitely see more Cases in my future.  The Case cv steel is basically 1095, so it takes a very fine edge and holds it reasonably well.  Very easy to sharpen too.  I just rinse off and wipe down my blades if I use them on anything other than paper - no rust issues so far.  Very few if any production companies pin their shields anymore, so they are only glued.  I've never heard of a shield falling off a Case, although I imagine it can and has happened.  Shouldn't be an issue with regular use.  I liked my two Cases so much that I bought a backup for each.  Also, the chestnut bone scales are probably my favorite material offered by any company.
