I am looking for a quality folder to give to my groomsmen. The budget is $75 each. I am not getting them engraved (looks gaudy to me).
Any suggestions? |

Spyderco tenacious can be had on amazon.com for around 26.00$ and you might be able to get free shipping. for the money, these knives are great. They also have the persistence which is slight smaller, i think gpknives has a deal going on right now for the persistence @ $20 a piece. don't let the price sway you as they knives are buys at their price. Also, kershaw knives are great and many of them are in the range. They are assisted open too if that's something your looking for. |

How do you like the tenacious compared to the resilience? im debating between the two, but i think the resilience might be a bit too big for edc, even though i do normally like larger blades. My edc has been and Ontario rat 1, and an ESEE Izula. |

The resilience i think has a 1/4" longer blade than the military, and the military can be big sometimes. If i'm out working or hunting or whatever i'll carry it and not think anything about it, but normal everyday it feels a little big to me, I like something a little closer to 3" for my edc. At x-mas i bought my dad a tenacious and i bought myself a persistence, I love my persistence but sometimes i feel like it's a little small. I'm going to get a tenacious as it feels REALLY good in my pocket. |

I'd recommend the Spyderco Manix 2. http://www.knifeworks.com/spydercosmanix2blackg-10handles154cmbladewithstonewashfinishplainedge.aspx |

Just a wee bit more than your $75, but @ $85 the SOG Pentagon Elite is a nice knife. ETA: ManVentureOutpost has it a little cheaper. |
