I know its cheap, and not made of the newest uber hard steel. But i was pleasently suprised with the edge on this knife out of the box, razor sharp.

So has anyone put one of these through the paces? I think/hope it will be a great skinning knife....plus it looks bad-A with a little paracord wrap...

I've thought about getting one. $18 at Walmart. I've heard its sharp also. Don't know how stiff it is, being so thin. Have yet to handle one.

I bought one over the summer after handling the one my Brother In law had. For $17 it's a great knife and it is razor sharp. I wrapped the handle in 3M fricton tape.

I've got a couple of them and have been extremely pleased.  The blade design with the concave belly really cuts. I have not skinned/processed a deer or boar with them yet.

Just happened into a couple of ChiMarts today and looked for one at both but no luck. One stocked it but was out.

Interesting, I have been avoiding Buck knives as a rule except for the 154CM Paul Boz heat treated ones. Might have to give this a look.
