I grabbed this at an estate sale today....







I left the tag on it so you can see what I paid for it, it was cheap enough that I could not pass it up.  Anyway there are no markings on the blade and I know this is a shitty phone pic but I wonder if anyone knows anything about this knife.  It seems fairly well constructed and the sheath was definitely well cared for as it is still in fairly good shape without much if any cracking.

There's no markings at all? The handle looks like an old Buck knife's my dad has.

I don't know, the blade looks older than the rest.  It could be a one off made with an old blade, kind of looks like an old Remington?
That doesn't look quite right for a western.  The sheath is wrong, and the guard looks homemade, much too thick for a Western and they usually used brass for their guards.  Also, look at the pommel, if it is a Western you should see two pins holding it on, that is because of Western's "dual tang" design.
Still a nice looking blade though.
Maybe some better pics would help.
