I recently ordered a Benchmade Griptilian 550HG from LA Police Gear last week. I just noticed today that theres a small crack/chip inside the thumb hole. My question is, do you think Benchmade will repair/replace this under warranty and do you think it is worth sending in?

I have attached some pictures.

While I'm no expert, that looks like leftover flash or something. Unless you plan on using the hole to spin the knife around on your finger, I wouldn't sweat it.

That being said, I find no fault with your dissastisfaction.

Have you contacted LAPG to see what they have to say about it?

Hrm...can anyone else with this knife confirm if this is normal for them? I just figured a nearly $100 knife would have better finishing than this. It seems like my Kershaws have higher attention to detail.

I have yet to contact LAPG, as it seems like more of a manufacturer defect.

Thank you for the reply sir.
