I injured my knee and will probably need a cane for a while during recovery.  Once I'm off crutches, I was planning on using a cane, and being weapons oriented, was thinking of purchasing a sword cane.

This looks interesting http://www.swordsdirect.com/heavy-duty-sword-canes.html

Any recommendations?

Cold Steel generally makes good stuff.

That being said, check local statutes and ordinances prior to taking it out of the house.  While it may be legal to POSSESS, it can still be illegal to CARRY.

I have a Cold Steel sword cane, though apparently it is obsolete now.  It doesn't exactly match any of those listed.  It would certainly have a dramatic impact.

The nice thing about Kentucky's CCDW law is it covers sword canes.  It even covers shurikens, though I have never been temped to carry one.

I recently read an article which spoke of dozens of canes being confiscated at air ports, the owners being ignorant of the blades concealed within.  Probably some pretty nice antiques in that group.

Thank you for the advice.  I'll need to check the TN CCW permit law.
