So what's the consensus on this particular knife.

I have 4 left that I'm trying to liquidate and I can't hardly give them away. I've had them up on ebay for 50% of what I paid wholesale for. Is there something about them that I missed? They seem to be easily Benchmade level quality.

I'll probably just donate them to the American Legion for a fundraiser.

It appears that the going price for these is between $25-30.  How much are you listing them for?

There are a LOT of these for sale on Ebay - so that will dilute the price.

Yeah that's the problem. My wholesale price was almost double that. I had a lot of four for $100 on ebay but it didn't sell; twice.

Not sure if the cheaper ones are knock-offs or if there's something else going on. I do know there are still a handful of dealers listing in the $65-$70 range and the original retail on these were almost $100 each.

I do know that RAT & OKC had some kind of fallout but I'm not sure how that could've affected the price.

I searched knifeforums.com and didn't see anything useful and the search is off on bladeforums.com. Nothing pertinent comes up on google.

All I know is that the NIB retail price on these dropped a lot from around $70 to about $30.  I haven't heard of any reason for this change.  I have 2 and my only complaint is the weight.  For their size, they can be a little lighter.

I managed to google bladeforums and found out the deal. Basically got hosed by OKC.

OKC, with approval from RAT, produced an initial run of these knives. The blades where stamped "First Production Run". Mine are as well. The retail for these were ~$95.

RAT, decided that since these were being produced in Taiwan that they didn't want to support the knives due to parts supply issues, warranty service issues, etc., and decided to drop the line. They supposedly had an agreement with OKC to no longer produce the line.

Fast forward 6-8 months. OKC decided to continue to have these produced but now were sourcing from China. RAT had a fit and legal issues ensued. OKC apparently is able to offer the resulting productions runs much cheaper because of the ChiCom sourcing and probably no longer paying royalties to RAT.

At least that what I got off of bladeforums.

Oh well, I donated them to the local American Legion to be raffled off during their Chili Cookoff fund raiser.

So....I've got one of the "First Production Run" knives....I guess I'll just use it and not worry about it. I had set it aside....
