I have carried a Kershaw Leek for about 4 or 5 years. I find it about perfect as far as width is concerned and blade shape.
I just lost the damn thing and I have some questions for you knife guys. I don't care for serated blades.

1: Is there any knifes similar to the leek but better?
2: If I go with the leek should I pay extra for the S30V stainless-steel one or go with the Sandvik 13C26 stainless-steel?

Thanks

If I were in your shoes -

You already like the leek, and have had the unfortunate experience of losing one.  I'd probably get another leek, instead of going with a model that is unproven to you, and I'd get the cheaper steel - as its still going to do its job, and you won't be out as much if the unthinkable happens again.

But then, I'm kinda cheap (have a leek, but carry the zt0200)

That's kinda what I was thinking. It doesn't get the use that some guys here put their knives thru but it works so well for what I use it for.
It's my understanding that the old leeks were made with a different steel and the new ones are made with Sandvik 13C26 which is a better steel. Is this true?

My Kershaw 1660T has 13C26 steel and I'm happy with it. So much so that I ordered another one just like it. This will probably be my pocket knife for life.

And there are many models of the Leek that don't have the serrations, so picking one you like shouldn't be a problem.

Benchmade mini griptilian.

I have had a couple of kershaw leeks, the griptilian line is 1000X better.
