I use CLP when the blade is in use,
and I coat my stainless blades with Super Lube Synthetic Grease when they are not in the field. The specific grease I use is Item No. 21030 http://www.super-lube.com/greases-ez-44.htm Click the "Where to Purchase" link on the left side of that web page for a dealer near you. And remember, never store your knife in the sheath for a long period of time. |

I've had good results using CLP on a rag for storage, and never had a blade rust yet. When used for dressing game, I clean with hot water and soap, dry well, and reapply the CLP. Paladin |

Don't you just love these twits that start a thread, and drop off the radar.?!
FWIW BQ didn't have any stainless Camillus daggers, but they DID have high carbon (polished) versions of the WW2 "Marine Raider" daggers. Mine came wicked sharp, although a few strokes on a Spyderco "Sharpmaker" made it even better. The sheath has the metal parts near the tip so you don't stab yourself while landing after jumping from a plane. This is the 3rd example of this model I've owned, and it is very well done. Can't post pictures, my digicam is on vacation w/ the wife. Paladin |

I like CLP or Ballistol. Both have worked great for me on several different types of steel.
On a side note, I got a Camillus Full size and smaller CQB with the black krinkle finish that I had thought about selling since I have only looked at them and never used them. I know there is no more Camillus so I might hang on to them just for that reason. |
