I was just searching around looking a knifes and found the Spyderco Native.  I don't have any blades with s30v steel that seems to be a popular steel.  I could have sworn that sometime in the last few weeks someone posted where you could get one for $30.  Wal mart has them for $38 on their web site but $8 is $8.  Any opinions on the knife?  For the price I figure I would try it out.

I like this knife, a friend of mine uses it as his edc. The steel is pretty typical of a hard use knife , as in it bends before it chips. I've repaired his edge a few times but the knife ios comfy and feels good for working.

The ones at Wally are the least expensive I've seen.  Great knives.  According to Sal Glesser (of Spyderco) no consessions were made for Wal Mart....these are the same as any other Native at other stores for nearly twice as much.

The Spyderco Natives are good knives!  I've carried a couple as my EDC, although I tend to break the tips off since I'm a dumb ass and pry with them when I should just go get the right tool.   Tough, light, good deep choil, good enough steel and a reasonable clip.  Give it a try and if you don' t like it, you're out $30 and you can feel good about beating the crap out it.

My S30V Native is my daily beater.  Love it and a great knife for a cheap price.  I tend towards being a steel whore and the S30V is hard to beat for the price.
