Has anyone got one of these or used one. What do you think of it. Does it work as well as it looks like it would.

ANYONE got any views to express for this product.   I saw where they would give you a 50.00 discount that would mean you could get granite slab for the two hundred. wonder if they would give you a 30 day trial period.  Anyway thinking about getting one.  THEY HAVE A VIDEO THAT SHOWS IT BEING USED.www.wickededgeusa.com

It's more or less a souped up Lansky.

I'm sure it will produce a decent edge (though not a convex edge) but why not just learn how to sharpen a knife on a normal stone or sandpaper?

I am not sure if there is anything to the old addage. I use to have the skills to bring an edge to a knife that could cut carbide like butter. I showed a friend of mine how to sharpen knives and within a year I could not get one to cut butter. Believe me I have tried to use stones and bring an edge but it just will not happen.
