My wife's grandfather was going through the stuff he brought back from Germany in WWII.  He came across a knife that he doesn't remember.  He sketched it out for me.  The blade is 5" long and the handle is 4.75".  The blade has a hook before it meets the handle, looks like some kind of a finger guard.  One the left side of the blade is written 4ZER, DEUTSCHER-BRUMMER, and DRGN.

I've looked through Google and can't find anything in English searching those terms.  About all I can find is it was a German WWI trench knife.

Anyone have anymore info?

That looks just like the sketch he made me.  I'm hoping to take some pics next time I see him.

Thanks for the info.  That gives me something to start researching.
