Anyone here have one of the new Benchmade OTF autos, the Infidel? I just ordered one and would like some opinions and maybe pics. And for the "Search Feature Police" forgive me for not doing so first, didn't feel like it. |

It's a very good knife, but since I don't like to pants pocket front shooters, I swap back and forth between a 3550 and a 9050 depending on the application. Really truth be told, if the price were lower, I would probably pick one up for weak side ankle carry (half pouch) instead of an Mk 1. Somehow I can see me forgetting to pull it before flying on public airlines (checking it in with my firearms), and it's a little too much money to throw it in the trash to catch the flight. I get the 3550's/9050's for around a C note (have a stock pile of Gerber’s from years back) and it's not the end of the world if I just gift one of my used standard carries to the TSA guys when I have a brain fart and remember that I forget to check something in right before the metal detectors (read I have my own self pat down routine before hitting the detectors to make sure that I haven’t forgot to pull something an hit the detectors (point of no return)). |
