Hello everyone,
I'm looking to purchasing a Benchmade Nimravus and I was wondering how people felt about the old style handle compared to the new style. Also, how do you like the nimrauvs in general? I'm looking at one for general utility.
Thanks

I've had mine for forever. A friend owed me some money and gave me the nimravus he got in A-stan. A year later I took it too Iraq. So for general utility, I think it's the best. Everytime I see a new knife that I want to buy, I think to myself, why bother, I've already got the benchmade.

I have had mine for about 8 years and still love it.  The carbon/plastic sheath has since failed me, but the knife hasn't.  Mine still holds a surgical edge for a long time when I get around to sharpening it.

I carry my Nimravus everyday. I have owned it for almost a year. Great little blade for light cutting duties. Not really a heavy duty user, as the stock is pretty thin, but it is a great self defense, light utility EDC. Mine is the plain edge, 154cm model and holds a decent edge. Here are a few pics,

I own a Pre-Production Run version and a current production so I’ve been using them for years. It's a good knife but as mentioned above, the stock is a little thin for heavy work. I normally carry a Strider folder and keep this in my go bag. In reality, I’d use the Strider for chopping/heavy work before the Nimravus.

The new one only cost me $45 or I wouldn’t have bought it.

I had one for a few months, bought it here in the EE. It looked just like lefthand's and had the old style sheath. I liked the design, especially the handle, but in the end I sold it because the spine wasn't thick enough IMO for a general purpose knife. Others will disagree
