Wow, I had one just like that for deer hunting and then I used it at my job as a cabinet maker. I eventually broke the tip off of it from using it so much. Cutting straps, steel straps, I would use it as a screwdriver at times. It went with me every day. The sheath started to fall apart and I wrapped it up with duct tape. I wish I had a pic of that.... LOL. I got my moneys worth out of that one. I used it hard for years before it broke.

I think. Probably sucks compared to some other now a days. The blade is good though. I could get it pretty sharp, even not being some kind of sharpening expert.

I forget if they were all red or you could get other colors. If so, you could've had a variety of colors to match your outfit.

I got this shortly after getting to my first unit (late '00). Didn't have a knife so I picked one up at the PX but really wanted the grey that my supervisor had. I think they were $45 and that seemed really expensive to no-rank sqwerl.

Seems like every year since, around Christmas, they put them back on sale around that same price.
So if anyone is interested, keep a lookout around the Holiday Season. They'd make a great stocking stuffer.
